Natalie trained as a Biochemist at the KU Leuven. After obtaining her PhD in Biochemistry, she spent 3 years in St Jude Children’s Research Hospital (Mempis TN) to work on mouse models for lysosomal storage disorders. In 2004 she started working at the VIB in the Laboratory of Dr. Bassem Hassan, gaining expertise in molecular techniques and Drosophila genetics. After 12 years, she then became lab manager in the lab of Dr. Vincent Pasque at the Leuven Stem Cell Institute and learned how to work with mouse stem cells.  She moved to CoBioRes in March 2019, joining the minimally toxic prodrugs team.
